Coronavirus – COVID-19

November 4th 2020

I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well.

As you will be aware, last Saturday the UK Government announced plans for a new four-week restriction in England as part of the national effort to decrease COVID-19 case numbers, effective from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December.

The Government is allowing non-essential retail to operate Click and Collect or home delivery services. Therefore, we will remain open for click and collect and will remain available to assist with any sales enquiries remotely, either by phone, email or live chat.

I am pleased to inform you that our Service and Parts operation will remain open as an essential service albeit with skeleton staff.

If you have a current booking in place for November, please be advised that this will remain as planned. As we have demonstrated over the past few months, extra measures remain in place at our dealership to ensure we follow Government guidelines. Some of these measures include operating on an appointment only basis for all service bookings and increasing levels of PPE for staff and customers. We would ask you to arrive promptly at your appointed time to ensure we keep numbers on our premises to a minimum.

Please consider the following points we have employed over the last few months in order to keep you all as safe as possible.

  1. Continue to observe the 2 metre social distancing rules.

  2. Always wear a face mask when you enter our premises.

  3. Should you be leaving a vehicle with us please, only leave one key. We will place this in a sealed bag to avoid multiple touchpoints. We are also happy to greet you outside the building if you wish.

  4. Only card payments or bank transfers will be accepted for any transaction. We will normally prepare your invoice prior to collection and take payment over the phone.

  5. When entering the dealership please be sure to have a face mask and utilise the sanitisers provided. If you have a waiting appointment there will be sanitisers and anti-bacterial wipes positioned in various areas in the showroom, reception and toilets. Whilst your vehicle is with us we will use various covers to protect it and will sanitise prior to handing back to you.

  6. Please be patient with us. This way of working will slow our processes somewhat. We will endeavour to minimise any delay as much as possible.

It is clear that the country faces another challenging period, however as a business we have learned a great deal since 23rd March and I am confident that we are able to continue to support our customers, whilst ensuring your safety remains our priority.

Should you have any further queries regarding our arrangements for the next 4 weeks please email me at; pje@elkinsford.co.uk

Many thanks, we do appreciate your continued support,
